OUTBACKVOICE is designed to invite participation by Outback residents, and the global community, on issues, stories, sharing ideas and opportunities through its OPEN FORUM. It is also designed to inform the global community about our special place in the world through its PHOTO GALLERY, STORIES and NEWS.

The developers of this site (www.Outback.net.au Ltd – a project of Outback Regional Development Organisation Inc) principally works in Far West New South Wales, northern South Australia and southwest Queensland – an area larger than Europe and a representation of part of arid Australia covering 90% of Australia’s mainland .

Despite representing a “slice” of arid Australia, the benefits of the Internet allows not only the whole of “arid” Australia to become part of this project – but invites the global community to interact with the people of Outback Australia.
